Sushil Kumar Pal (b. 1988) is a Delhi-based visual artist whose work celebrates the "spectrum of unity" through the harmonious interplay of colors. Sushil likens his art to a rainbow, where diverse colors blend seamlessly, symbolizing the rich diversity of India—a nation unified despite its variations in culture, form, and tradition. His paintings reflect this essence, creating a vivid narrative of inclusivity and cohesion. Using acrylics, Sushil layers colors in a way that allows one hue to peek through another, establishing transparency and depth. This layering evokes harmony, offering viewers a unique and immersive visual experience. His work demonstrates that unity and diversity are not opposites but parts of a coherent whole, much like a spectrum where each shade contributes to a unified, beautiful composition.
Sushil Kumar Pal earned his B.F.A. in Painting with first-class honors from Allahabad University (2011) and furthered completing his M.F.A. in Painting with first-class honors from Kurukshetra University (2013). Sushil was honored with the prestigious 6th All India Contemporary Art Award in Haridwar (2012), recognizing his exceptional talent and contribution to contemporary art.
